Getting started

Install Metonia, pick the style preset and set up your logo, colors and fonts.

Metonia is an editorial theme for small-batch jewelry and accessories brands. This guide takes you from a fresh install to a store that looks like yours.

Before you edit code: always duplicate your theme first (Online Store → Themes → … → Duplicate). Code edits are not covered by support. If you need custom work, consider hiring a Shopify Partner.

Install the theme

  1. In the Shopify Theme Store, open Metonia and choose Try theme or Buy theme.
  2. The theme is added to Online Store → Themes in your library.
  3. Select Customize to open the theme editor. Nothing is visible to customers until you select Publish.

Style preset

Metonia ships with one style preset, Metonia. It sets the fonts (Fraunces for headings, Outfit for body text), a warm neutral palette and the page width. Every value can be changed later in Theme settings.

Open the Header section in the theme editor:

Setting What it does
Logo (Image / Text) Choose between an uploaded image or your store name set in the heading font.
Logo text Only for the Text option. Leave empty to use the store name.
Logo (image) Your main logo. A transparent PNG or SVG at least 400px wide works best.
Mobile logo Optional. Shown on screens under 750px.
Logo while transparent Optional light version used while the header sits over the homepage slideshow.

The footer has its own Logo setting because it sits on a dark background. When it is empty, your store name is shown.

Colors and typography

Open Theme settings (the gear icon):

  • Typography: heading and body fonts, size, letter spacing and line height scales, plus navigation, product card and button text options.
  • Layout: Page width (Narrow or Wide), Page margin and Mobile page margin.
  • Colors: page background, body text, the Primary accent, lines, inputs, header, footer, buttons, prices and inventory colors.

Keep the Body text and Page background contrast at 4.5:1 or higher so text stays readable for everyone.
