Cart drawer

Adding a product opens the cart drawer. Customers can change quantities, remove items and go to checkout. The drawer shows variant options, subscription plans, custom line item properties (such as gift card recipients), line and order discounts and the subtotal. If an item can’t be added (for example, because of stock limits), the reason is shown in the drawer or under the product form.

Cart page

The cart page adds:

• Order notes (turn on in the Cart section) for gift messages and instructions.
• A Discounts field for discount codes, with removable code chips.
• Accelerated checkout buttons (Shop Pay, Apple Pay and others), enabled by default.
• A tax note that follows your tax settings.
• For pre-order or deferred-payment plans, a Due today amount.

Prices in every currency

Prices updated in the browser (cart drawer, variant changes) use your store’s money format, including formats with comma decimals and space separators, so they match prices rendered by Shopify.
