Popwell privacy policy

Popwell is a Shopify app operated by AI BASE TECH LLC ("we", "us"). This policy explains what information we handle when a merchant installs and uses Popwell, and what happens to it when the app is removed.

Information we process

Popwell is built to keep personal data to a minimum. Depending on how you use the app, we process:

• Your shop domain and the session tokens Shopify issues so the embedded admin app and the app proxy can authenticate.
• The campaigns you create: text, colors, coupon codes, schedules, targeting rules and the address of any image you add.
• Daily totals of storefront events for each campaign (views, clicks, closes and coupon copies), used for the analytics in the app and for Free plan limits.
• Your plan status from Shopify, such as the plan you picked and when a trial ends.
• The messages you send us through the support form or by email.

Popwell does not use Shopify's protected customer data. Storefront visitors see and use campaigns, but Popwell does not collect their names, email addresses, order details or payment information. Event totals are counted once per browser session and are not linked to a person.

Images you upload in the campaign editor are stored in your own store's Files in Shopify, not on our servers.

How we use information

• To run the app: show your campaigns on your storefront and let you edit them in the admin.
• To show analytics and apply the limits of your plan.
• To answer support requests.
• To keep the app secure and meet our legal and Shopify platform obligations.

We do not sell information and do not use it for advertising.

Where it is stored

App data is stored in our production database, hosted by Neon, and the app runs on Out Plane infrastructure. Shopify handles sign-in and billing on its own platform under its own terms and privacy policy.

Retention and deletion

When you uninstall Popwell, we delete your shop's campaigns, analytics, plan record and sessions right away. A reinstall starts with no campaigns. We keep a short audit record of the uninstall and deletion that contains only your shop domain, the action and how many records were removed, so we can answer questions about it later. It never contains campaign or customer content.

We respond to Shopify's privacy webhooks for data requests and deletion. If a shop reinstalls within the 48 hours before Shopify's deletion request arrives, its new data is kept because it is in use again.

Your choices

You can delete any campaign in the app at any time, and uninstalling removes your shop's data as described above. To ask about or request deletion of support messages, contact us.

Changes

If we change how Popwell handles data, we will update this page and the date at the top.
